Right behind my office, in an unassuming strip center on Spicewood Springs, not too far west of Mopac, is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in town, in my humble opinion.
If you like pad thai, I would put theirs up against anyone in town. My other favorite is the grilled chicken with vermicelli, which includes rice noodles, carrots, cucumber, sprouts, chopped peanuts, and a delectable fish sauce. I think the next time I go, I'm going to try the "create your own stir fry".
It's very reasonably priced, with most lunch entrees around $7-8 each.

The food is invariably fast, and the staff is attentive and generally friendly. In fairness, I often go during "off hours" (taking lunch at 2-3pm many days), so I can't speak about how things are run when it's the typical lunch rush.
I've taken many clients and some of my agents there to eat at different times, and it's always been a good experience. When I'm by myself, it's a great place to stop in for a quick bite. I have purchased take-out food many times, so that I can get back to my office and continue working.
When the weather is nice, they have a really nice sun-dappled deck outside in the back that makes for a relaxing meal as well.
The address is 3808 Spicewood Springs. Tell them you heard about it from my blog. Maybe they'll offer me some sort of loyal customer discount. :)
